AT last sanity prevails, or is about to get its chance. Tremendous political perception was not required to identify the point in the cycle that talks between unions and Government might reopen, but that does not diminish the relief the announcement brought.
THERE is very little that can be said about road safety that has not been said a thousand times, but we must keep making the arguments because people keep dying in awful, sometimes avoidable, traffic accidents.
WE are really in the midst of a revolution of sorts. All of the old certainties are being washed away. People are now questioning all the previously authoritative figures in society.
