This afternoon's National Hunt meeting at Haydock goes ahead after a successful early-morning inspection.
Clerk of the course Kirkland Tellwright was forced to assess conditions following a deluge of rainfall on Tuesday night.
Although 15 millimetres of further rain had also hit the track during the last 24 hours, Tellwright was nonetheless able to deliver the all-clear.
He said: "It is heavy, soft in places but we are still able to race.
"The ground was quicker than this on Wednesday but it's obviously good news that the meeting is on."
