Group says no call for cut in Defence Forces' pay

The organisation which represents members of the Defence Forces has said they have already paid their fair share towards the resolution of the economic crisis.

PDFORRA said they have already suffered with the loss of pension, income and health levies from their relatively modest incomes.

In a submission to the Oireachtas the group says the Defence Forces spend in the budget is the smallest in Europe as a percentage of GDP and there is no call for further cuts in pay.
