Drugs supplier Uniphar is laying off around 140 of its Dublin-based staff.
Workers have been called for meetings throughout the morning and early afternoon and it is expected the company, based on the Belgard Road in Tallaght, will cut a fifth of its 700-strong workforce.
The wholesale pharmaceutical supplier is also expected to announce pay cuts of up to 10% for the remaining staff.
