Trapattoni names Irish XI
04/09/2008 - 14:21:09

Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni named the starting eleven to face Georgia this weekend in the team's opening World Cup qualifier in Germany.

The full squad had one last training session at Malahide this morning before heading for the airport and post-session, confirmed the starting 11 will be Shay Given, Stephen Finnan, John O'Shea, Richard Dunne, Kevin Kilbane, Stephen Hunt, Glenn Whelan, Stephen Reid, Aiden McGeady, Kevin Doyle, and Robbie Keane.

Trapattoni has said the team have no excuses after their preparation, and that the confirmation of the starting line up will provide some ease for the side.
