Delay on nursing home inquiry report
04/09/2008 - 08:03:06

The inquiry report into the Leas Cross nursing home scandal has been extended until the end of the year.

An official report on the running of the north Dublin home was due to be published this month.

However, the Cabinet has now decided to extend it, as the inquiry team was experiencing delays in getting the necessary documentation.

The Cabinet has also granted an extension for the report into the deaths of a family of four in Monageer, Co Wexford.

The inquiry is investigating possible failures by state agencies to deal with concerns about the Dunne family before they died.
