Man due in court in connection with organised crime investigation

A 42-year-old man is due in court in Dublin this morning charged in connection with a major international organised crime investigation.

A total of four men were arrested in Dublin, Belfast, Offaly and Tipperary over the past two days in a joint operation involving Gardaí, the PSNI and Dutch police.

Firearms were seized as well as heroin and cannabis worth more than €4m.

The 42-year-old was arrested in Santry in Dublin on Tuesday. He is due before Blanchardstown District Court at 10.30am.
