Ryanair passenger numbers increase
04/09/2008 - 10:50:52

Ryanair says its passenger numbers increased by 19% last month.

The no-frills airline carried more than 5.5 million passengers in August.

This is despite the company's complaints that it's been badly hit by economic slowdown. Last month, Ryanair cancelled two of its routes from Cork due to rising business costs.
